Internet Marketing Explained!


According to Webopedia, "Internet Marketing" or also called as "Online Marketing" refers to advertising and marketing efforts that use the web and email to drive direct sales via electronic commerce, in addition to sales leads from websites or emails.

In more than 2 years of doing Internet Marketing, the most basic explanation of it for me is selling products that can be physical or digital on the internet using different marketing tools and strategies.

Internet marketers use specific kinds of websites which help then showcase and sell their products on the internet. They also use email autoresponder services to follow up their leads, pitch their products,  and provide contents until their leads become buying customers.

Internet marketers apply different strategies in marketing their products such as Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Video Marketing, Paid Advertising, etc.

Now, let me to share with you some of what I believe are the pros and cons of this kind of business... 


The Pros
  • It is cheaper to operate.
  • It markets globally.
  • It is easier to reach the target market.
  • It works 24/7.
  • It is automated.
  • It can be done at home.

The Cons
  • Most people are skeptical.
  • There are a lot of competitors online.
  • Skill and knowledge are required.
